ABOUT KEATON
Keaton has a passion for health, physical activity and wellness. He has been working in the health and fitness industry since 2012. Originally from Sudbury, Ontario, Keaton relocated to Ottawa in 2018 and has been working in the community since 2019 as a Registered Massage Therapist and Kinesiologist.
His journey in the field of health and wellness began in high school. He developed an interest in exercising and learning about human performance and exercise science. That curiosity paired with his athletic background, playing competitive hockey and high school football, led him to pursue studies in the Physical Fitness Management Program at Cambrian College where he achieved an Advanced Diploma in Physical Fitness Management.
Later, Keaton attended Laurentian University and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Physical and Health Education and received Honours Cum Laude. He then became a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. In 2019, Keaton obtained his Diploma in Massage Therapy from the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy.
Throughout his studies and his career, Keaton completed many professional development courses and attended conferences to grow in the field of health and wellness. He has achieved certifications in Fascia Stretch Therapy, Cupping, Concussion Prevention Management and Detection to name a few. Keaton has a client-centred approach. He aims to treat the root cause of the symptoms and educate patients about their condition and provide a treatment plan for optimal, long-term benefits.
Keaton works with the general public, and with athletes. Keaton has experience working with athletes including players in the NHL, OHL, CFL, Soccer Canada, Skate Canada and USports. Keaton currently works as an RMT/FST provider with the Ottawa Redblacks.
Lastly, during his free time, Keaton enjoys working out, playing hockey, travelling, snowboarding, biking, golfing and doing dog sports with his dogs, Alvin, and Arthur, sports such as, canicross, bikejoring and skijoring.
